Reactive redesign
Many thanks go to our developers, Kyan, for turning round a very quick teaser site last month (48 hours) and just today a shuffle around of the important parts.
Did it need to change?
We wanted to get something up to support Mothers4children.org very swiftly and had to ensure our design matched their branding. This presented challenges for us as the branding went through a number of dramatic changes right up until their launch, the same day we needed this teaser site.
We had our main emphasis on encouraging people to sign up for the head start and as a result had the information about Mothers4Children contained in a small restrictive box. This meant we couldn’t got into any detail about the people and the charity.
We also needed to include donators’ logos and felt that although the videos (more of which are coming) were fun, they weren’t so important.
The Shuffle competition got lost in the mix.
What was a great design needed to accommodate a few more modules, at first pass braking it.
Fast forward a couple of hours cutting, pasting and cropping within Apple Pages (great mock up tool) and we had new iteration, not perfect but all requirements in place. 24 hours later we had a perfectly designed running demo and a couple of tweaks later it was live. Do you like?
I hope the proper site rebuild goes as well!
Kudos to Kyan.
